A wider body, upgraded axles and better climate control headline the latest version of one of North America's best-selling luxury fifth wheels.
The Keystone Montana has long been one of the best-selling luxury fifth wheels in North America, popular with full-timers and snowbirds who want a residential feel on the road. The 2027 model year brings several meaningful changes.
A wider body
The headline change is a move from a 96-inch to a 101-inch wide body on the main floor plans. Those extra inches widen walkways, enlarge slide-out rooms and make the kitchen and living areas feel more like a small apartment.

Stronger running gear
To carry the extra size and cargo, 2027 models use heavier-duty suspension with coil-spring axles, anti-lock brakes and higher-rated tires. The result is a smoother, more stable tow, though you will want a properly rated heavy-duty truck.
Climate control
Upgraded roof air conditioners with heat pumps provide efficient heating in mild weather. A ducted furnace and enclosed, heated underbelly support four-season use.

Built for off-grid stays
With remote work in mind, the Montana now comes ready for satellite internet and includes a factory inverter, dual battery boxes and a 12-volt refrigerator that can run without shore power.
Inside
- Hardwood cabinetry with hidden hinges
- An electric fireplace and theater seating in the living area
- Solid-surface counters and a residential-style kitchen
- A king bed and large wardrobe in the main bedroom
Who it's for
The Montana is aimed at long-term travelers who want comfort above all and do not mind towing a large rig. If you plan to spend months on the road, the 2027 changes make it one of the most livable fifth wheels in its class. Check with a dealer for current floor plans and pricing.
Before you buy or go: specs, prices and road conditions change. Confirm with the manufacturer or dealer, check your tow and payload ratings, and check road status before heading out.
